Royal Ivanhoe Golf Course was the venue for the reintroduction of the Golf Day to the VFUA’s social calendar last Sunday the 31^st of May.With a number of Sunday games restricting the list of possible attendees, an impressive field of 30 braved nasty weather and even nastier dress sense to contest in pairs for the coveted ‘Squad Trophy’.

The Senior Field Umpire pairing of Shane Stewart and James Davey took home first place, winning both the overall and the handicapped competition with a score of 36. They were followed closely by goal umpires Dean Jones and Luke White on 39.

Specials thanks must go to John Howorth – who organised and ran the day, as well as Golf Pit Stop (www.golfpitstop.com.au) and the Lower Plenty Hotel who kindly donated the prizes for the event.

The VFUA was extremely impressed with the attendance at the event, and we look forward to a similar strong support for the upcoming trivia night on July 4^th.
