The VFUA hosted its first inaugural Trivia Night on Saturday the 4th of July, 2015 at the Richmond Union Bowls Club which proved to be a really enjoyable night for all who attended. The success of the night means that there will be another one in 2016 so make sure you get it in calendar for next year as it already promises to be even bigger.
Tony Hales from the VAFA hosted the night which provided a nice touch with one round of questions specifically devoted to VFL Football and Umpiring among the usual rounds of general knowledge, sport, music etc. Tony did a great job and behalf of the VFUA we would like to take the opportunity to thank him for the terrific job he did.
Highlights from the night included:
· Jarrod Barry spruiking an ‘Aero’ Bar in just a towel
· Mitchell Cole performing what we think was a John Farnham song
· Nicholas Finch trying to serenade random members of the crowd and
· The Development Field Umpires performing a choreographed dance routine to a popular “One Direction” song
Congratulations to “The Blanches” (Senior Boundary Umpire Table) that were winners on the night, runners up were “Too Tall” (Senior Field Table) with “Black Magic” (Senior Goal Table) coming in third.
Thank you to all who attended from the VFUA to support this event and we look forward to seeing you all at the next big social event for 2015.
