VFUA Members can expect to benefit from the proposed redevelopment of Werribee’s Chirnside Park venue, after the Federal Government committed to funding the last slice of a project that has been on the cards for some years.

Umpires who have run at the Tiger’s home ground know too well the crowded change rooms are not ideal for preparation (unless that preparation includes a workout!) but that will change over the next two years, with works to begin in 2016 and expected to take 12-18 months.

The development is expected to include new umpires rooms.

Funding for the $10.25m project will be contributed to by the State and Federal Government’s, Wyndham City Council, AFL, AFL Victoria and the Werribee Football Club.
