The VFUA fully supports the AFL Pride Match being held today between Sydney and Fremantle in Sydney.

The match acknowledges the importance of embracing and providing a safe and inclusive environment for gay and lesbian men and women in our game.

Former VFUA President and life member Anthony Black contributed to the AFLUA’s website the following piece.

Anthony umpired between 1994-2007. He umpired 252 AFL games including 25 finals and 7 grand finals.  Anthony was also President of the Victorian Football Umpires’ Association in 1997 and 2003.
