The VFUA conducted its annual planning weekend at Rye on 5-7 February 2016.
New President Michael Curtis welcomed new comers Jared Dyson, Ryan O’Shea, Kate Griffiths, David Miles, Tim Carlos, Pat Burns and Tom Chrystie and returning office holders – Callum Leonard, David Flegg, Luke McIlroy, Tyler Hankinson and Peter Kelly to the event.
The planning weekend is designed to induct new members to give them a clear understanding of the purpose and direction of the VFUA, whilst ensuring all executive members left with a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities.
“I am very excited about the year ahead,” said Michael. “Whilst undoubtedly, there will be some challenges, l believe we have the right team in place to make 2016 a fantastic year.”
Michael encouraged all members to play an active role in their Association during the year. “We have an excellent social events program for 2016 and l encourage all members to attend and meet and socialize with other members on the umpiring panels.”
